Amazon FBA Resources
All the best resources for your new Amazon business. Courses, sourcing tools, office supplies, blogs, videos, podcasts, supplier directories, and prep services for building an Amazon business with more structure and fewer painful surprises.
Free Blogs, Videos & Podcasts to Get You Started
Start here before spending money. All of the following links are “how to get started” guides. You don’t necessarily need to read all of them. Choose whichever one you like, but all the blogs have valuable information and many, many posts to continue your learning beyond your first shipments.
Full-Time FBA
This is where I got started learning all I could about online arbitrage and sending in products to Amazon warehouses the right way.

Courses & Training to Research Carefully
Paid courses can help when you need more structure, but they are not a substitute for careful buying decisions, current Amazon policy checks, and realistic cash-flow planning.
The Reseller’s Guide to Online Arbitrage
This is one of the Amazon courses I bought when I was learning how to source products online and resell them through Amazon FBA. It is a practical starting point if you want to learn online sourcing without jumping straight into wholesale accounts or bigger inventory commitments.
Online arbitrage can be one of the more accessible Amazon FBA models because you can source from regular retail websites, check sales rank and profit before buying, and build smaller shipments while you learn. I would compare this kind of training first if you are interested in sourcing, profit checks, restricted products, and avoiding expensive beginner mistakes.
Mommy Income / Wholesale Bundle System
Mommy Income was one of the resources I bought for learning Amazon wholesale bundles and differentiated listings. It was especially useful for thinking beyond competing on the exact same listing as everyone else.
Important update: Kristin Ostrander later retired from Amazon and made the training library available one final time. If you already bought the course or still have member access, some bundle strategy may still be useful, but check everything against current Amazon rules, fees, restrictions, and listing policies before relying on it.
The Wholesale Formula
This Amazon wholesale training program from Dan Meadors and Dylan Frost. I did not buy this one, but I wanted to. It is aimed more at people who are ready to make a real commitment to wholesale sourcing, supplier relationships, larger inventory buys, and building a more serious Amazon operation.
This is not where I would tell a beginner with very limited capital to start. Wholesale can work, but it usually requires more money, stronger risk management, supplier communication, and patience than basic online arbitrage.
Silent Sales Machine / Proven Amazon Course
Silent Sales Machine and Proven Amazon Course are part of Jim Cockrum’s Amazon seller training ecosystem. This is another resource I bought because it covers multiple Amazon and ecommerce models instead of only one narrow method.
I would treat this as a broader Amazon education option rather than a single online arbitrage course. It may be useful if you want a larger training library and community, but compare the current price, modules, and support against your actual business model before joining.
Sourcing Tools
These are the tools that help you evaluate products before you buy. The goal is not to collect software subscriptions. The goal is to make better sourcing decisions and avoid expensive mistakes.
Replen Catcher
Excellent and relatively inexpensive software by Raiken Profit from YouTube. Replen Catcher finds the latest deals on DVDs, books, toys, and more at eBay that you can then flip on Amazon. There are seven tiers, the cheapest being Lite at $29.99 per month, which tracks 100 leads and replens and live stream sources 1.5 million products. Don’t sleep on this one. Take advantage of the 14-day free trial and choose a monthly or annual plan afterwards if you love it like I do.
FlipMine
FlipMine is an online arbitrage sourcing tool for finding products that may be profitable to resell through Amazon FBA. It is especially associated with eBay-to-Amazon and other online sourcing opportunities, and the current site offers a monthly plan with a short free trial.
I have not personally used FlipMine. If you test it, pay close attention to the quality of the leads, how current the pricing data is, whether products are gated for your account, and whether the monthly cost makes sense for your sourcing volume.
Keepa
Keepa is one of the most important Amazon research tools to understand. Keepa matters because current Amazon numbers can be misleading. Historical price and rank data can help you avoid products that look profitable only for a short time, have unstable pricing, or don’t sell often enough to justify the risk.
For online arbitrage and retail arbitrage, Keepa is pretty much a necessity. Whether you’re getting the core data charts through tools like Replen Catcher (which is what I do) or more advanced data through a direct subscription, some form of Keepa is a must.
SellerAmp
SellerAmp is one of the Amazon sourcing tools I’ve actually used, and it gives me most of what I need when I’m checking products from tools like Replen Catcher. It shows eligibility, estimated profit, ROI, BSR, and other useful product details right on the Amazon listing page.
When I’m knee-deep in research, SellerAmp lets me know if I’m allowed to sell a product on Amazon, how often it sells, and how profitable it is after fees. That makes it useful for online arbitrage, retail arbitrage, and wholesale without making the sourcing process more complicated than it needs to be.
Jungle Scout
Jungle Scout is best known for Amazon product research, especially for sellers looking at wholesale, private label, product demand, competition, estimated sales, and keyword opportunities. It is more than a basic beginner tool, so I would compare it after you know which Amazon model you are actually building.
If you are mostly doing online arbitrage, tools like Keepa and SellerAmp may matter first. Jungle Scout starts to make more sense when you are evaluating bigger product opportunities, researching niches, comparing competitors, or thinking about wholesale/private label decisions.
Helium 10
Helium 10 is another broad Amazon seller suite and is probably better compared with Jungle Scout than with Keepa. It includes tools for product research, keyword research, listing optimization, PPC, inventory, and other parts of running an Amazon business.
I remember using some of Helium 10’s free tools, and those can be useful for learning the basics before committing to a paid plan. Like Jungle Scout, Helium 10 is more than most beginners need on day one, but it is worth comparing once you are researching larger opportunities, improving listings, or moving beyond simple arbitrage.
Supplier Directories
Supplier directories are most useful once you know what kind of Amazon model you are pursuing. Free directories are a good place to explore, while paid directories should be compared carefully before spending money.
Wholesale Central
You can’t beat the price of free. That’s why this directory of wholesale suppliers is listed above the others. There’s even a category of vetted Amazon FBA suppliers.
SaleHoo
With SaleHoo you get over 8,000 pre-vetted wholesale and dropshipping suppliers. You can also connect products from AliExpress to your Shopify dropshipping store with ease. Choose from annual or a lifetime access at a very reasonable price.
Worldwide Brands
More expensive than SaleHoo and only a lifetime plan is available, but there are more suppliers at WWB. However, it will take some work to find the Amazon-friendly companies willing to work with you.
Office Supplies
All the supplies I’ve bought for sending products into Amazon safely so customer satisfaction is high and complaints are kept to a minimum.
Dymo LabelWriter 450 and 550
I’ve been using this little workhorse thermal printer for years to print Amazon’s FNSKU labels. It’s only jammed twice, maybe because I was using off-brand labels. The second time I had to fix it took a lot longer since I was in another room and kept trying to print dozens of labels before I went to retrieve them. If you mess up your printer by not using Dymo’s own labels and can’t fix it yourself, you can apparently void the warranty. With a used LabelWriter 450, though, there’s no warranty to void, so buy the labels you like and don’t worry.
I was going to suggest this LabelWriter 550 bundle since it’s a newer model and then I read that it’s “locked down,” meaning you can only use Dymo labels. The 550 is cheaper but the labels are more expensive. It is, of course, your choice.
Self-Seal Polybag Options
You’re going to need various sizes of polybags and a heck of a lot of them. I suggest getting a variety pack at first if you think you’ll be offering items ranging in size from Blu-rays to winter coats and larger. I always go with self-seal and not resealable, because then your package is nice and secure. You just have to be careful you don’t stick it to itself before you’ve got the product in the bag. 😉
- Spartan Industrial Combo Pack (400 count)
If you’re just starting out, you can get a variety pack of 100 each of 6×9″, 8×10″, 9×12″, and 11×14″ polybags. - Spartan Industrial 6×9″ (1000 count)
The best bags at the best price if you’re selling smaller items, like those aforementioned Blu-rays, DVDs, video games, CDs, jewelry, et cetera. - Spartan Industrial 9×12″ (200 count)
- Spartan Industrial 12×15″ (200 count)
U-Haul and Home Depot Moving Boxes
For basic FBA shipments, I usually look at U-Haul moving boxes first. The small, medium, large, and extra-large boxes are some of the most affordable options I’ve found. They can be a bit flimsy, but they are cost-effective, and you can always reinforce them with extra tape.
Home Depot boxes are comparable, usually slightly more expensive, and I especially like their heavy-duty options. You can sometimes find U-Haul boxes on Amazon, but they are often two to three times as expensive there.
Transparent Prep Tape
Business Source Transparent Glossy is a great all-around Scotch-type pressure-sensitive tape. I use it for taping polybags that extend three inches or more beyond the item in the bag. I’ve used a lot of it. A lot.
OWLKELA Transparent Glossy is the tape I bought most recently, either because the Business Source tape was more expensive at the time or it was out of stock. This is also a great choice.
Shrink Wrap and Stretch Wrap
I haven’t bought shrink wrap in a while because I kept pivoting into products that didn’t need it, so I’m linking to shrink wrap search results on Amazon instead of one specific roll. Those results may also include stretch wrap, which is useful for keeping products together and wrapping pallets.
Purple Q Crafts shrink wrap basket bags are useful if you are making gift baskets or bundles that need to look neat and stay secure. They are better than carelessly throwing loose items in a resealable bag.
Bubble Wrap Options
Note: Perforations on cheap bubble wrap are usually not very good, so have a pair of scissors handy. For the price, it’s worth the slight frustration, since bubble wrap can add up to a big expense that you can’t recoup easily if you sell low-cost items.
Fresh Farm LLC Bubble Cushioning Wrap is the lowest-cost small bubble wrap I’ve used. At 700 square feet, a pretty steady price even during the pandemic, and a lot of great reviews, you can’t really go wrong with this brand.
American Bubble Boy Bubble Wrap is another option I used once or twice. I don’t remember anything specific about why I changed to a different brand, so it was likely just the price.
Impulse Sealer and Heat Gun
An impulse sealer is vital if you want to seal non-self-sealing polybags or close shrink wrap before shrinking it.
A Titan Vaper heat gun is useful for shrinking shrink wrap. Fun to watch it work, but be careful — these things are hot, hot, hot!
Prep Services
Prep services can save time and space, especially if you are sourcing online or scaling beyond what you can comfortably handle at home. They are usually not the first thing a beginner needs, but they can become useful once your process is working.
Ohio FBA Prep and Ship
Professional, friendly, and cost-effective. There are two prep services I’ve used because of their incredible low prices, which did not affect the service I received. Ohio Prep also has multiple discount tiers if you do high volumes with them.
FBA Prep 4U
I used them a few times. They were very responsive when I had a problem. Customer support is excellent and so are the prices.
Services
These are support services to consider after you know what you need help with. Fiverr has all sorts of categories and people to work with for whatever your business needs. I’ve chosen a few services that can be useful for Amazon sellers, but always compare sellers, reviews, pricing, and deliverables before ordering.
Product Research with @felixnguyen
If you’re looking for a winning product for your Amazon wholesale business, Felix has thousands of five-star reviews. He also offers Shopify dropshipping product research and keyword research using Jungle Scout if you don’t want to purchase and learn the software yourself.
Optimized Listings with @alexvlaston
Alex will write an SEO title, five bullet points, a product description, and keyword research support for Amazon listings. This can be useful if you have your own listing and need stronger copy instead of trying to write everything from scratch.
Listing Images with @todorf5
If you have your own product, one of the most important parts of your listing is a clean, persuasive product image. Todor T. offers image editing and product photography services that can help a listing look more professional.
Fiverr Logo Maker
Whatever kind of business you create, you’ll need a logo to look professional and build brand recognition. Fiverr’s logo maker can be a quick way to create something usable without hiring a designer right away.
Tailor Brands
This is where I started with my logos. I’ve made a few that looked really nice. Tailor Brands has also expanded into business services like LLC formation, trademarks, domain registration, and more. I wouldn’t pay for an EIN, though, since you can get one completely free at IRS.gov and it’s very easy to do.
Tax Reports, Taxomate, and TaxJar
Ugh, taxes. Yeah, they’re awful and confusing, but you have to do them. Make your life easier by using good records, reports, and tools before tax time becomes a mess.
How to Run “End of Year” Inventory & Sales Reports for Tax Purposes
The most important blog post you can read about doing your taxes for Amazon. If you’re trying to get it all done yourself at tax time, you need to head over to this article at Full Time FBA.
Taxomate
Automated accounting for your Amazon store.
TaxJar
Have TaxJar do most of the sales tax work for you or have them do it all for you every month, quarter, or year when sales tax returns are due.
FastTrackFBA VA Help
At some point, you may be overwhelmed doing this business on your own. A virtual assistant can help with sourcing, research, and repetitive tasks so you can spend more time making higher-level decisions.
A virtual assistant is not something I would worry about on day one. At first, it is better to understand sourcing, sales rank, profit checks, restrictions, and your own buying decisions before handing tasks to someone else.
Later, if you have a repeatable process and enough cash flow, a VA can help greatly. FastTrackFBA’s VA resources may be worth comparing once you know exactly what tasks you want help with and can afford to pay for support without putting your business under pressure.
